Covid years have taken their toll–
Lockdowns, loneliness, and longing for laughter
After another isolated, unforgiving winter.
Finally comes spring, dancing down the Texas hillsides
Oblivious to sadness! Radiating gladness!
Colors flash in flowers that scream life!
Winter is gone; a new day has dawned
In the hope of blooms, the call of birds,
And white wispy clouds wiping blue skies!
Season of resurrection–
Springtime in The Hill Country!
