A NEW LIBRARY
The Next Chapter Unfolds
Library Trustees select architectural firm for a 21st Century Library
The Dripping Springs Community Library Board of Trustees awarded a contract to PGAL and 720 Design, two architectural firms working together that have done significant work with libraries in Texas and nationally. They guided the library through highly attended community input meetings and a community-wide survey. 720 Design, an interior design and planning firm dedicated to the development of modern library spaces, has delivered plans for initial programming and interior layout that reflect the community’s input.
New Library Location Secured
The new library will be located at the end of Benney Lane, a cul-de-sac off Mighty Tiger Trail. This is adjacent to the library’s existing property. The new property will allow the library to expand its overall footprint to 5.5 acres.
Project Manager Selected

We have secured a project manager JMT to guide us through the next phase. This step brings us closer to making our new library a reality, and we look forward to watching the building progress unfold.

Prospective Renderings
“No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and house should live together each the happier for the other.”
Frank Lloyd Wright
At 37,000 square feet, the new library will be four times the size of the current facility. It will serve as a gathering space for our community with various meeting rooms and study spaces, an entire floor dedicated to children’s, a makerspace, as well as expansive outdoor spaces for events, a story walk, and a children’s play area.
