The Dripping Springs Community Library is excited to announce the use of EnvisionWare’s PC Reservation Computer Access software and LPT: One Print Management.  This new system will now allow us offer color printing.

With PC Reservation, library cardholders no longer need to checkout a computer from the front desk.  Simply go to the computer you want to use, sign in with your library card, and use the computer as you normally would. If you do not have a DSCL card, you will need to go to the desk to receive a guest pass.

PC Reservation also allows you to lock your session with the “Hide Screen” function and set a password, so that you can step away from the computer for a maximum of 15 minutes.  When you return, enter your temporary password and resume your session.

When finished using the computer, simply click the “End Session” button and the computer will restart and clear any files you may have downloaded.

LPT: One is our new print management software.  Now printing will be easier than ever from our library computers and your mobile devices. There are details on our website on how to print from your own device by uploading a document via a link, by email, or by using the PrinterOn app.

Using our computers, simply go to print the document and select if you want color or black and white.  Black and white prints are $0.20 per page. Color prints are $0.50 per page.  Double-sided prints are twice the cost.

A prompt will appear to confirm the number of pages and the cost.  Once confirmed, go to the Print Release Station, select the “Release my Print Jobs” button and enter your library card number, or the email address you gave if using one of the mobile options.  From there you can preview the print job, delete it, or confirm and pay for it from the coin op machine and credit card terminal.  You can even print past print jobs for up to 24 hours.

Also, from the self-service print station, you can pay any outstanding fines you may have.  However, if you have a problem on your account such as a lost or damaged book, you will still need to go to the circulation desk to pay for it.

Note – Credit cards are only accepted for transactions of $1 or more.  The Coin and Bill Acceptor will only accept a total of $10 per transaction, and paper money denominations greater than a $5 bill are not accepted.  All change given by the machine will be in coins.  Please remember, we cannot make change at the front desk.

Thank you for your patience as we all learn this new system!
