The Campaign Manager will work closely with the Library Director, Board of Trustees, Advisory Groups, and other staff to carry out a broad-based fundraising plan targeting individuals, corporations, foundations and government agencies to support this initiative.
This person must have proven success in fundraising and/or sales and relationship management. Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position. Must have ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a team environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years of non-profit, fundraising, and/or sales experience.
  • Knowledge of local, statewide, and national philanthropic communities.
  • Proven success in account-management and developing corporate partnerships.
  • Outcome-driven with ability to respond to changing circumstances and prioritizing
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer fluency in MS Office, or other donor database software, web applications, and knowledgeable about the role of technology and electronic communication in fundraising.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Board of Trustees and working in partnership with the Library Director, staff and other volunteers, this position is responsible for the following:

  • Manage a fundraising portfolio for the Dripping Springs Community Library.
  • Create and execute fundraising strategies, work to grow additional revenue for DSCL.
  • Establish solicitation priorities, manage prospect lists; research, develop and execute targeted cultivation plans and solicitation strategies for a range of prospects; prepare and provide support to staff, Board members and volunteers for solicitations.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to cultivate identified institutional identified institutional prospects and prepare foundation and government grant proposals.
  • Drive donor centric partnerships to support financial goals of library events, programs and prioritized initiatives.
  • Ensure that data related to prospects and donors is recorded and tracked in electronic and hard copy files; manage campaign record keeping, evaluate progress towards goals, prepare periodic reports on fundraising and present to the Board; recommend revisions to the fundraising plan, as needed, to meet goals
  • Prepare donor acknowledgement, stewardship and public recognition, as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned.

Dripping Springs Community Library offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience for this contract position.
