This program is part of a 9 Week long series beginning on September 4th and running every Wednesday, at this time, until October 30th. By registering for this date you are registering for the whole series.
Homeschool families, come learn the ins and outs of journalism through this nine-week club. Students will learn about various types of newspaper writing (news, feature, sports, opinion, reviews and more) as well as photojournalism, comics and puzzles. At the end of the nine weeks, we will publish a student newspaper featuring their own favorite pieces. Ideal for students ages 11-14.
Candy Wellins is a writer and homeschooling mom of three. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Nevada where she covered sports reporting for the student newspaper. She is also the published author of four children’s books. You can learn more about her at www.candywellins.com
