Hello Young Adult Book fan!  Looking for a good book you have not already read?

The TAYSHAS Reading List is designed for young adults who enjoy reading.  No matter where you travel in the State of Texas, teens are reading and talking about these new books selected each year by a committee of public and school librarians from all over Texas each year for their appeal to high schoolers and merit.  When you spot this TAYSHAS label in the Young Adult section, odds are you have found a really interesting book!

Log on to your account to:

• Reserve titles for pick up at the main desk.
• Renew books you have borrowed from the library.
• Rate and review TAYSHAS titles.

No one has been known to like every one of the books on the list.  There is a lot of difference between a high school freshman and a senior and the TAYSHAS selection reflect that continuity.  The committee strives to include some books for each of the four grade levels and they also strive for balance in areas such as genre, gender appeal, interest, and subject. The result is a list reflecting a wide variety of current books, some more challenging than others. Each book on the list has been favorably reviewed in a professional review source and must have been published within the last two years

You’ll find professional reviews, a little bit about the author, and even excerpts from the book.    Log into your library account and reserve the book you want. You can pick it up at the front desk.  If your book is on the shelf, we’ll have it ready the next day. If the book is checked out, there may be others waiting for it too. We’ll call or email you when it is ready! Please check to make sure your contact information is correct.

If you have already read the book, why not add your opinion? Just log in, click on “Review this title!” & give it a rating from 1 to 10. Add comments if you wish. Keep it short, tasteful, and use a “handle” or nickname. The Dripping Springs Community Library will add your reviews!
