Library cards are free to residents of Hays County, the Dripping Springs Independent School District, or persons who are employed within the service area.
Students 17 and under must have their application form signed by a parent.
Students who attend college in Hays County but do not have a permanent address in the County (such as a rented apartment, house, etc.) may use the library if they are able to provide their current college ID, as well as an on-campus address. Student registration is valid only for the current school year and must be updated every year.
Those living outside of Hays County may purchase a permanent library card for $14.00. You may also purchase a temporary card for $5.00 which is valid for 3 months with a 2 item limit.
Please print out the application form and come by. We need to verify your current address with something that has your permanent address on it. A driver's license, bill, or check will be fine.
