The Friends of the Library

 The Friends of the Library marked the end of its year and launched the new year at its annual meeting held February 19th at the library. The highlight of the event was the presentation of an $8,000 check in support of the library's programs.  Presenting the check were Past President and Treasurer, Donna Woody, and current President, Bobbie Hentschel, (pictured left, flanking library director, Cara Russell). Donna Woody noted that supporting the library financially is the primary mission of the Friends, and Bobbie Hentschel thanked those in attendance, as well as the many other volunteers who participated throughout the year, for making this one of the most successful fundraising years ever.

The Friends of the Library are looking for some volunteers!

There are some board positions to fill, but they also appreciate help with smaller, short term projects.

The mission of the Friends of the Library is to promote public use of the library, to foster an appreciation of its cultural and educational value to the community and to encourage improvement of its resources and services.
